Picardy helps us explore how composers use contrasting ideas to tell musical stories through different feelings and emotions. The music of Haydn, Mussorgsky and Tchaikovsky, among others, leads into a fresh new take on the classic tale of “The Tortoise and the Hare.” The audience will interact with “Mary Had a Little Lamb” sung in contrasting styles, along with Picardy Penguin’s theme song, “Music Can Make Your Life Complete.”
